Kuwait: The 10th round of the Oman-Kuwait Joint Committee was held in Kuwait today. The Omani delegation was led by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, while the Kuwaiti delegation was headed by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Foreign Minister. According to Oman News Agency, Sayyid Badr emphasized in his speech that the historic visits of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, marked the beginning of a new era of strong relations. These visits signaled the expansion of bilateral cooperation in strategic fields that serve the joint interests of both nations. At the conclusion of the session, the representatives from both countries signed the minutes of the 10th round. Additionally, they signed several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and executive programs in various fields, including culture, arts, land transport, agriculture, consumer protection, and municipal work. An executive program was also signed in the fields of tourism a nd business, and an MoU was finalized for the recognition of maritime certificates for navigators. The meeting, attended by several officials from both sides, was part of the broader efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields. This aligns with the directives of the two countries' leaderships in promoting mutual interests and strengthening ties.
