Muscat: The Royal grant from His Majesty the Sultan, allocating RO 100 million for a housing assistance program to cover 3,500 families during 2026 and 2027, embodies the support for family stability and the enhancement of the quality of life for families with low-income across the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to ensuring the well-being of Omani citizens by providing suitable housing as a cornerstone of social stability.

According to Oman News Agency, this grant is an extension of a series of Royal directives that prioritize the needs of citizens, reflecting the wise leadership's dedication to creating a foundation for social stability. Dr. Khalfan Said Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, highlighted that this Royal grant is a testament to the continuous giving approach established by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. It underscores the Royal care aimed at reinforcing family stability as a key element of social development.

Dr. Al Shuaili further noted that the Royal directives have laid out a clear roadmap since the dawn of the renewed renaissance, leading to significant achievements in the social housing program. These include providing suitable housing for thousands of families and developing legislative and service frameworks that benefit eligible beneficiaries, thus enhancing the quality of life within a cohesive society.
