AL-BIREH, Extremist Israeli settlers attacked tonight several Palestinian-owned vehicles at the north entrance to the city of Al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said scores of rampaging Israeli settlers, guarded by Israeli army and police, gathered near the Israeli military checkpoint of Beit El, north of the city, and hurled stones at Palestinian vehicles passing through the checkpoint, causing damage to some of them. No injuries were reported.

Over the past week, there has been a serious increase in attacks by extremist Israeli settlers on defenceless Palestinian civilians across the occupied West Bank, including shutdown of roads, pelting vehicles with stones and physically attacking defenceless villagers and passers-by.
