Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid College of Islamic Studies on track

Work on the Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid College of Islamic Studies is on track with 77 percent of the project already finished.

“The electromechanical and foundational works have been completed”, said the Ministry of Works, stressing the importance of the educational milestone, which is named after late Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

“The college is being built on a land plot covering 4,177 square metres, while the overall construction area tops 3,567 square metres”, said Assistant Undersecretary for Construction Projects and Maintenance Mariam Abdulla Ameen.

The three-storey college has been designed with an overall capacity to accommodate up to 300 people. The Tender Board had awarded the construction works to Saraya Contracting Company.
