Three sustain gunshot injuries as Israeli forces quell rally in northern West Bank

Three Palestinians today sustained gunshot injuries as Israeli forces quelled an anti-settlement rally in Kafr Qaddum town, east of Qalqiliya, according to a media activist.

Murad Ishteiwi said that heavily-armed Israeli soldiers opened fire towards the participants in the weekly Friday anti-settlement rally, hitting three by rubber-coated steel bullets and causing dozens to suffocate from tear gas.

All the suffocation cases were treated at the scene.

Meanwhile, a youth, 22, was hit in the foot by a live round fired by Israeli soldier in the course of confrontations at the northern entrance of al-Bireh city.
