Weather: Heatwave continues with another rise in temperature

Weather today in Palestine is hot in most districts and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley as the heatwave continues with a rise in temperature to become 7°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 24°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 34°C and a low of 23°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 45°C and a low of 30°C while it is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 26°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Another rise in temperature is expected tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday to become 8°C above the average.

Temperature, however, is expected to drop on Friday while remaining 6°C above the seasonal average as the weather continues to be hot to very hot.

People are warned against being exposed to sunlight for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and against setting fire to areas with dry grass.
