Muscat: The "National Symposium on Consolidating Public-Private Sector Integration" recently concluded at Al Shafaq Club, Sultan's Armed Forces. The event was held under the auspices of retired Lt. Gen. Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani and saw the presence of Maj. Gen. Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies.

According to Oman News Agency, Brigadier Nasser bin Abdullah Al Qatabi, Head of the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies, emphasized the Centre's commitment to providing a platform for dialogue and the exchange of visions. This is aimed at strengthening institutional ties and developing practical policies to support a sustainable national economy, aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

The ceremony featured visual presentations on the symposium's themes, a discussion of its recommendations, a review of key initiatives, and the launch of a platform named 'My Institution's Sustainability'. The symposium's objectives included enhancing the public-private sector partnership, creating sound national frameworks for development, boosting joint initiatives, generating employment opportunities, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Furthermore, the symposium emphasized learning from successful international experiences, linking education and training to labor market needs, and fostering an entrepreneurship-oriented environment. This approach encourages self-employment and supports economic diversification, leveraging digital technologies to build a more adaptable and sustainable employment system.
