RAMALLAH, An Israeli military force raided early Wednesday the Health, Development, Information and Policy Institute in Ramallah and seized equipment before leaving the area, according to Mustafa Barghouti, director of the institute.
He told WAFA that eight Israeli military vehicles raided the building after blowing up its doors and walls and ransacked the offices before leaving with the electronic equipment.
Palestinians confronted the soldiers during the raid and clashed with them. Three suffered from tear gas inhalation, said Barghouti, a lawmaker and secretary general of the Palestinian National Initiative.
This is the second time Israeli forces raid the institute. The first was in 2002 during the Israeli army re-occupation of Ramallah.
