BERRI MEETS FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL ENVOY, BROACHES LEGISLATIVE COOPERATION WITH JORDANIAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION, RECEIVES CARETAKER TELE-COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER

House Speaker Nabih Berri, on Friday welcomed at the Second Presidency in Ain el-Tineh, French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian, and an accompanying delegation, in the presence of French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro. Discussions reportedly touched on the outcome of the meetings held by Le Drian with the various Lebanese sides. Following the one hour meeting, Le Drian left Ain El-Tineh without making any statement. On the other hand, Speaker Berri welcomed in Ain el-Tineh, a Jordanian parliamentary delegation, headed by first deputy speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalayleh. The general situation in Lebanon and the region and ways of legislative cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and coordination between them in regional and international parliamentary forums were presented. This afternoon, Speaker Berri received Caretaker Minister of Tele-Communications, Johnny Qorm.
