HH the Emir of Qatar Meets Egyptian President

Cairo, November 17 (QNA) – HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, conferred on Saturday afternoon with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi.
At the outset of the meeting, held at the Egyptian Presidency Headquarters, the two leaders reviewed the brotherly relations between the two countries and means of bolstering and developing them. A set of other regional and international issues of mutual concern with a special emphasis on the situation in the Gaza Strip, were also taken up.
HH the Emir voiced deep thanks and appreciation to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, the leadership and the people, for their honorable stands vis-a-vis the Arab causes particularly the Palestinian cause.
HH the Emir lauded Egypt’s generous gesture for treating, at its hospitals and at its own expenses, the Palestinian wounded who were injured during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In this regard and at the directives of HH the Emir, the State of Qatar decided to offer $ 10 Million to contribute to  treatment of the Palestinian wounded who are receiving medical treatment at the Egyptian hospitals.
The State of Qatar also decided to provide urgent medical assistance including medicines and medical supplies and equipment to the Gaza Strip to help treat the injured of the Palestinian brethren in the strip.
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and a number of their excellencies the members of the accompanying delegation.
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, arrived in Cairo earlier today on a short visit to Egypt.(QNA)
