Khalifa receives Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker

WAM Al Ain, Jan 28th, 2013 (WAM)–President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain Ali Fahd Al Rashid, Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly (Majlis Al Umma), who is currently visiting the UAE.

The meeting was attended by H. H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President’s Representative.

Al Rashid conveyed the regards of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, to the President, who, in turn, asked the Kuwaiti Speaker to convey his regards to the Emir of Kuwait.

The UAE President stressed during the meeting the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Speaker expressed his pleasure on visiting the UAE and meeting the President. He congratulated Sheikh Khalifa on the UAE national football team victory in the Gulf 21 games, recently hosted by Bahrain. He also spoke warmly of the excellent and historic ties between the people of the two countries at all levels.

General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H. H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H. H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, H. H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ahmed Jumaa Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Under Secretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, a number of Sheikhs, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to UAE, Salah Mohammed Al Baijan, the Kuwaiti delegation members and senior officials.
