Mohammed bin Rashid attends Sheikha Fatima Ladies Endurance Cup

WAM ABU DHABI, 30th November, 2013 (WAM)–The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended this morning the 90 KM Sheikha Fatima Ladies Endurance Cup at the Emirates International Endurance Village, Al Wathba, in Abu Dhabi.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohammed were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Adviser, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and H.H. Sheikh bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

71 riders took part in the event whose awards are worth AED500, 000.

Emirati rider, Afraa Khalifa Al Suwaidi, finishing in 3:08.38 hours at speed of 28.62 km in one hour, followed by rider Lubna Ali Ahmed Al Jaro, in 3:14: 34 hours at speed of 27:75km in one hour, while rider Nasreen Khasro Al Khalid came third, finishing in 3:16:10 hours at speed of 27: 52km in one hour.

The Dubai Crown Prince congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates, the people of U.A.E. and expatriate residents on the 42nd national day anniversary and winning the right to host Expo 2020 in Dubai. He commended the members of Dubai file who exerted great effort.

He told the Dubai Racing TV that the Sheikha Fatima Ladies Endurance Cup was interesting and highly competitive, citing the preparations of riders and readiness of horses.
