One killed, 15 injured in three traffic accidents in Jenin

JENIN, A man was killed and 15 others were injured yesterday evening in three separate traffic accidents that took place in the district of Jenin, north of the West Bank, said a police statement.

Police spokesman Loay Erzekat said a 35-year-old man from the town of Qabatiya was killed and two others were injured in an accident which occurred about two kilometers south of the town. The two were moved to hospital for medical treatment.

The two other accidents also took place outside the villages of Ti’inik and Ajjah, resulting in four and nine injuries respectively, one of which was described as critical. All of the wounded were moved to a nearby hospital, with most of whom described as moderate.

Erzekat said accident experts opened a probe into the three accidents.
