Palestinian prisoner released after serving 30 years in Israeli jails

RAMALLAH, Mahmoud Jabarin, a Palestinian political prisoner from Umm al-Fahm city, was released on Sunday morning after serving 30 years in Israeli jails.

Hundreds of people were seen gathering in the streets of Umm al-Fahm to celebrate the release of Jabarin.

He was one of 28 Palestinian prisoners imprisoned by Israeli occupation authorities since before the signing of the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1993.
