PALESTINIANS RECEIVE SAUDI GRANTS

GAZA, April 7 (NNN-KUNA) — The Palestinian Government announced on Thursday start of disbursing the USD 10 million Saudi grant for aiding Gazans secure housing.

“We declare today beginning of disbursing financial allotments for those of demolished houses as part of the USD 10 million Saudi grant,” said Mufid Al-Hasaynah, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, in a statement on sidelines of a ceremony marking hand-over of the allocations.

The USD 10 million grant is part of a USD 40 million aid, earmarked by Saudi Arabia to help Gazans whose houses had been demolished in previous wars.
