The Government Summit to adopt an interactive agenda

WAM Dubai Feb 05th, 2013 (WAM)–The core theme of the Summit’s agenda held by the UAE government is the administration and services development, as well achieving positive results in the government sector. Therefore it has chosen direct discussion and interactive sessions, bringing together elites of government officials, ministers, intellectuals, specialist speakers and VIPs from all over the region and the world.

To be held in Dubai on 11th and 12th of February, the Summit represents a noticeable addition in the government departments sector through its quality agenda as it demonstrates remarkable experiences from the UAE and the world.

Emphasising on the vital sectors, the summit considers the importance of introducing development and innovation into the government departments to ensure maximum benefit and knowledge in the Arab region.

The two-day summit discussion sessions include important issues that touch on the UAE nationals’ needs in government departments and services, and ways to improve it and ensure excellent exchanges.

A workshop will be held one day prior to the summit in cooperation with the United Nations’ General Assembly to introduce the Public Service Excellence Award, and encourage the UAE to improve its services to qualify for the award among many other international ones.

The first day of the session will highlight Abu Dhabi and Dubai experiences in public services as global models of rapidly developing cities in this sector.

Speaking at the first session will be Al Tayer as the Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, and Falah al Ahbabi, General Manager, Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council. Among the speakers at the second session under the banner “Social Media as a government tool of communication with customers will be Tariq H. Lootah , Executive President of Dubai School of Government in UAE.

And under the banner “innovative partnerships with the private sector for a better public service, Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour will be speaking about the Ministry of Labour’s experience in providing excellent services of high quality in Tasheel centres, and the importance of empowering innovative partnerships with the private sector, and its impact on the public service efficiency and quality.
